as someone who has ... many... tumblr/twitter-unpopular opinions and thank god learned to keep the mouth shut well over a decade ago, it's being increasingly obvious how disconnected from reality discourse is/can get very quickly.
'the road to hell is paved with good intentions' kind of vibe. something that was posted in good faith only needs like... two telephone hops into a different circle before it's warped/abused beyond repair, and that's only /starting/ from good faith, not even something posted with a clear fuck-everything-else agenda or worse.
really fucking hope that the pendulum swings the other way soon as society starts seeing this damage. not sure if I'm that hopeful, tho.
