Yeah for sure. Hell, it was almost a decade ago that I had to price out convention booth rentals in the big local con. I couldn't believe how expensive it was. You had to be seriously moving a lot of merch - and also fit into the rules for what sort of stuff you were selling. It's BUSINESS now, and has been for quite some time.
